Located in Manhattan’s East Harlem neighborhood, the New York Proton Center anchors the 125th Street Development project, a broad-scale initiative that aims to bring residential, commercial and retail space—along with well-paying jobs and much-needed affordable housing—to the community. Our commitment to the community includes taking an active role in the newly formed East Harlem 125th Street Business Improvement District, a public-private partnership focused on neighborhood revitalization and boosted by a $10 million downtown revitalization grant that will spur growth and innovation.
We are also committed to developing the workforce of tomorrow and provide an annual summer internship program for high school and college students from diverse backgrounds. In addition, our employee-led Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and Social Committee regularly organize community service initiatives including collection drives, neighborhood clean-up days, and fundraising walks.
