Designed with Comfort in Mind
Our facility was designed with comfort in mind. Our main lobby provides a peaceful environment where patients, caregivers, and visitors can comfortably relax or work. The lobby includes:
- Tables with room for you to work
- Portable chargers that can be signed out at our Security desk
- Free snacks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bottled water and a filtered water dispenser. Feel free to bring your own re-usable bottle!
- Vending machines with a variety of snacks and beverages
- A Resource Section with helpful information for both patients and caregivers. Please help yourself!
- A children’s playroom
Please be considerate of others and use earphones for phone calls and while listening to entertainment. Our beautiful center has a very high ceiling, where sound travels, so please be mindful not to use your devices on speaker mode.
Parking
A complimentary parking lot, managed by the center, is located immediately adjacent to the building. In addition, patients and visitors receive a parking discount at MPT Parking, 162 East 126th Street, one block west.
We are located close to public transportation, including subway and bus lines, as well as Metro-North Railroad. Our Security team is available to escort patients to and from public transportation upon request. Please help yourself to a flyer detailing the security escort services, including the phone number for requests.
Social Work
Our social workers are available to assist patients and caregivers with a variety of logistical needs, including securing lodging in New York City for patients who are not from the local area, and assisting with transportation needs and providing resources to offset the cost of transportation to and from treatments. They can also provide supportive counseling for patients and caregivers and make referrals to support groups.
Our Social Work department also manages Forward Together, an online platform where patients can request support from family and friends for assistance with financial and non-financial needs related to their treatment.
